Museums and the volcanic ash eruption – curators stranded

Tens of thousands of stranded travellers around the world face further chaos for a fourth day on Sunday as the volcanic cloud that has shut down major airports across Europe continues to spread (Deutsche Welle). Museums and the Web is an annual conference exploring the social, cultural, design, technological, economic, and organizational issues of culture, science and heritage on-line. It was held from 13-17 April in DENVER. A lot of participants are now stuck as a consequence of cancelled flights. As a consequence museums have to change a lot of plans for this coming week.

Especially the Dutch Museums had a large delegation: Museum Boerhaave, NHM, Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, Volkenkunde and a lot more cultural institutions. Good luck friends and keep twittering!
